1949年10月1日，是新中國的誕生日。決議決定每年10月1日，即中華人民共和國宣告成立的偉大日子，為中華人民共和國國慶日。

我國的國慶節(jié)是十月一日，書面上，我們可以這樣來表達“十一”：The 1st of October；而在口語中，通常是用：October 1st。
每個國家的國慶節(jié)都不一樣：
America : July 4th （美國獨立日 7月4日）
France: July 14th （法國國慶日 7月14日）
Australia: January 26th（澳大利亞日 1月26日）
