Mayfield is a 194-home neighborhood of townhouses,condo apartments, triplexes, and single-family houses organized around a tree-lined main street and parallel paseo oriented to views of the nearby 2,000-foot-high Fremont Hills. Amenities include two parks with large meadows, a playground, a bocce court and a rose garden. The parks ncorporate onsite storm detention for 100-year storms and over 1,000 linear feet of bioswales to improve storm water quality and reduce peak flows. The project, which replaced a golf driving range, represents a significant example of suburban infill and has been the catalyst for accelerating redevelopment of the surrounding low-density warehouse and office park area.
